Enrolling Mobile Devices to Mobicontrol
Purpose of this process
When receiving brand new devices shipped to your warehouse, in order to begin using them, they will need all necessary settings and apps to be installed, for that, they will need to be enrolled into a company managed MDM server, below are the steps to enroll your newly received devices in order to start putting them to use in your warehouse.
Zero-Touch Method (Applicable to devices with built in cameras)
(For Carteret and Paterson, please use QR codes at the bottom of this article)
Upon first boot of the android device, tap on the Welcome or "Hi, There" text 6 times, when the camera view opens, scan the below QR code to automatically enroll the device, once scanned, the device will be automatically configured based on which warehouse location it has been detected in and will start applying all necessary policies, this takes about 5-7 minutes. Manual Method (Applicable to VC80x, CC610 Zebra Cabinet tablets and VC8300 tablets in TSP Forklifts)
Upon first boot of the android device, a Welcome screen will appear, press the next arrow to continue, at the Wi-Fi selection menu, connect to the wifi used by warehouse's devices, enter the wifi password and press ok (this step can be skipped for the CC610 tablet if using ethernet as it will already have an internet connection), after that, you will be prompted with the google account login dialog, enter afw#mobicontrol as the username and tap log in, tap install once prompted to install the SOTI MobiControl App, once the installation has completed, the SOTI Enrollment screen will show up where you can type in the enrollment code, if it does not, look for the MobiControl app icon in the application drawer from the android home screen (the drawer can be opened by swiping up from the home screen) and open it from there, use the UGZDLW52 enrollment code. Just as the enrollment method above, once the enrollment is complete, the device will automatically install all apps and policies based on the model and location of the device.
